3 stages in Whoscall APP

We have different goals and problems in different stages when we plan Whoscall from local APP king to global market marauder, from PMF product to big scale product. There is no shortcut, we provide many hypotheses and verify the ideas step by step, version by version.

Data growth

Redesign call-end report UI and highlight community report information to enhance the user motivation to report unknown numbers to Whoscall community. This task includes simplifying the report flow and seperating diffirent phone number scenario.
After releasing the new UI, users generated 5 times real phone number information than previous version. It really works to enhace the data quality and speed up overseas expansion plans.

User growth

We defined lots indexes to review APP operations. First, we redesigned introducing pages and login flow to improve the conversion rate for new user. Second, we designed appropriate features to enhance user engagement. Third, we put some viral features to encourage user referral our APP.
This is an endless process, we always find new topic to improve the experience. We also got lots inspiration in this stage.

Revenue growth

It's tough to find a good business model when you already provide free services to users for a long time.
We have 2 solutions for now:
(1) Call-end Ads: call-end dialog have a lot of exposure opportunities for our APP. We start design internal Ads system to control the Ads exposure mechanism and find the balance within user experience.
(2) IAP feature: we refer other APPs to plan our In-App-Purchase items. It's awesome stage when our design start to make money.
